I have had many years of experience counselling adults and couples. I believe that clients are the experts of their lives, but also that at various times, we all need support. While friends and family are helpful and loving, sometimes what may be required goes beyond what they can offer. As a professional, I provide an objective lens to help you make sense of your experiences and provide tools that will assist you in moving forward in your life in positive ways. My practice incorporates various theoretical models and interventions tailored to meet clients' diverse needs. My clinical training and supervision includes Narrative Therapy (NT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Humanistic/Experiential, Structural Family Therapy , and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Philosophy
Whether you are single, dating, common-law, or married, all relationships (even with ourselves) require work. As individuals change and grow, so too do their perspectives and their challenges. Our intimate relationships are among the most important things in our lives, yet we often forget to nurture them. Perhaps we have not learned about the tools that make doing so easier. I can help you make sense of your relational patterns and assist you in seeing how choices and behavior influence their development. Together, we identify goals for therapy and practice new tools to enhance your relationships.
Service Fees
The rate for service is $130 per hour. Payment is due at the end of each session. Cash, Visa, MasterCard and e-transfer are accepted. Most insurance companies reimburse for counselling fees for services provided by registered social workers. I do not direct bill. Please contact your insurance company for coverage information.
